The governor of Sindh is offering free solar systems to renters in Karachi!
KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has announced a big incentive for people consuming up to 300 units of energy per month, in a significant gesture intended to lessen the financial burden of growing electricity rates.
In light of the newly enforced higher electricity tariffs by the government, the news was made in a statement released on the eve of Eidul Adha in 2024, providing much-needed respite to Karachi's renters.
Who Qualifies for Karachi's Free Solar System Offer?
According to Governor Tessori, free solar systems would be given to Karachi residents who rent homes and use up to 300 units of electricity per month. The goal of this program is to lessen the impact that rising electricity costs will have on locals.
